Current Schedule: Monday Feb 26th through Saturday April 14th (Off Week Arpil 15-21)
Pump and Run (Strength & Conditioning)
Pump and Run refers to an event where participants max out on bench press, and then follow it up with a 5K for time. This class takes that concept and expands it into more options. We will start with a 25 minute upper body workout. Then we will change into 20 minutes of cardio. You can choose three options for cardio; Spin class on the projector, a treadmill run format, or rowing workout (depending on availability). Each class will get progressively more challenging to increase cardio capacity.
Senior Strength (Strength)
Chair exercises, balance work, resistance training, and fun. Chris uses different formats and games to keep seniors or people with ailments mobile so they can age with grace. (If you are wondering if this is an appropriate class for you or a family member, please contact Chris at 515-988-5839)
Brickhouse Basics (Strength and Cardio)
This class offers multiple modifications for the beginner member, or someone wanting to tone it down a notch from regular classes. But make no mistake, if you challenge Chris, she can bring the pain ;-)
OMFG (Strength & Conditioning)
This is the circuit/station class you have all been asking for. Julie uses kettlebells, medballs, ab equipment, and your bodyweight in a series of circuits to make the hour fly by.
ASPIRE Muay Thai (Cardio)
This martial arts program will teach members how to punch, kick, knee, and elbow while practicing the national sport of Thailand. All experience levels welcome. *Boxing Gloves Required. Please no MMA gloves. (If you have never attended a Muay Thai class please contact Able at 515-988-7525.)
Double Kettlebell Strength (Strength)
Just the two of us! (Insert Will Smith song.) This 100% Strength class will utilize double kettlebell exercises to challenge not only overall strength, but also stabilizer muscles required to maintain two kettlebells. Each day will target full body and offer partner formats, drop sets, burnout sets, and pyramid programs.
Caffeine and Cardio (Cadio)
Joe takes the basketball court and turns it into a cardio war zone. Stations compiled of agility, plyo, core, bodyweight, spin bike, and rowers will be set up to keep your brain busy while the cardio limits are tested.
Circle Boxing (Cardio)
Heavy bags are arranged in a circle creating stations of boxing combos and accessory exercises. This format offers a ton of variety with a familiar format. *Must have gloves to participate.
Interval Boxing (Cardio)
We get creative in this class by mashing up boxing combos with new pieces of equipment and new locations. We may hit the track in the gym, we may spend some time outside, or we may visit some cardio equipment.
Ass & Abs (Strength)
30 minutes of Butt and Gut! We superset these muscle groups together for a simple strength format. We follow it up with our online ROMWOD stretch and mobility workout for 20 minutes.
The trainers alternate so you may see a new face from time-to-time
Isolated Strength (Strength)
Rather than fatiguing the whole body at once like other classes, on Saturdays we choose 1-2 muscle groups we've neglected over the week and hammer on those weak spots.
Love your body... tomorrow... because this class utilizes your bodyweight in an array of strength, cardio, and agility circuits to start the weekend off in the right direction!
