Over the past three years, Josh has become not only a great workout partner but a great friend. Josh and I have very inconsistent schedules, so sometimes it is difficult to hold one another accountable for a certain class time, but you can believe that if we are available we are going to be in class. Having a workout partner, such as Josh, is exactly what everyone needs. On any given day, if one of us is not really in the mood for a workout, the other one is there to push through it. During the workouts, Josh and I have been partners and competitors and in both scenarios we find a way to push each other. In, fact if you listen to us during a workout, it often sounds like a childish game of "anything you can do, I can do better!”
This past winter, my son Collin asked to take a kettlebell class with me. Collin was new to lifting weights and required some extra time and instruction in order to insure he was using proper form. During that 8 week course, Josh and I continue to workout together but had Collin work into our sets with us. If it was my turn to lift, Josh would take the time to watch Collin to make sure he was doing things properly. We also took this time to push Collin, just as we do with each other.
Finding a workout partner with so many similar qualities is often very difficult but is worth it. Josh and I have been able to push each other in class as well as during two Tough Mudders. As we continue to shoot for new goals, together Josh and I look forward to pushing other clients as we begin instructing classes at the gym.
